HOW I THINK ABOUT X
From "What is" to "What could Be."
How I Think About X is a publication headed by TJ Neathery. The writing takes the perspective of "From what is to what could be," assuming that the role of the writer is to propose new ways of living, thinking, and engaging with the world. Whether these ideas are worth putting into practice... that's up to the reader to decide.
The publication prefers medium to long-form essays. The internet has flooded our information sources with shallow, bullet point articles that fail to ask meaningful questions (I still love you Forbes and Business Insider). These platforms are great for facts and quick tidbits of advice, but they also clog the SEO algorithms with unfulfilling content. How I Think About X seeks to incorporate these disparate pieces of content into cohesive articles that give meaning to the daunting task of navigating the 21st century.
But for all the high-sounding language, How I Think About X is about the everyday questions we ask like "Why do I procrastinate doing the things I love to do?" or "Why does Lofi Hiphop and Vaporwave make me feel so sad?"
If we seem obnoxious and philosophical at first glance, we apologize. Self-reflection is for everyone. We'd love to know how you think about X as well. So welcome!
